This group of quilters meets the 2nd Friday, 10 am, at the Ames Public Library. Members, experienced and new to this art, seek to share and expand their knowledge of quilting. Members make and donate quilts to two causes: Sleep in Heavenly Peace, an American non-profit organization, which builds beds for children who are in need; and baby quilts for Myrtle’s Closet, a group that supports new mothers in need. Dues are $10 and membership is unlimited.
