Iowa State University® Women’s Club Scholarship Award

The Iowa State University® Women’s Club (ISUWC) recognizes the academic, personal and community accomplishments of full-time Iowa State University senior and graduate status women students with the ISUWC Scholarship. The ISUWC Scholarship is intended as an honor for personal achievement; financial need is not a consideration for this scholarship. 

2024-2025 Iowa State University® Women’s Club Scholarship Award Application
(Due February 9, 2024)

Criteria

This award, funded by the club, is offered annually to one or more senior or graduate (Fall 2023 ISU classification) women, as permitted by Federal and State law, who meet the following criteria:

  • Full-time senior or graduate student at Iowa State University (Fall 2024 ISU Classification)

  • Maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher

  • Demonstrate qualities of leadership and character that contribute to university and/or community life.

Amount of ISUWC Scholarship: $2000 per year ($1000 per semester)

Recipients receive one half of their scholarship in the fall semester and the other half in the spring semester. A student may receive the scholarship only once.

The number of scholarships varies from year to year, depending on funds available. We are anticipating on awarding four (4) ISUWC Scholarships.

 

 

Iowa State University® Women’s Club Mrs. Glenn Murphy International Award

This award made possible by a fund established by Mrs. Glenn Murphy, is awarded as funds are available to a full-time junior, senior or graduate Iowa State University foreign woman who intends to return to her own country to teach or otherwise engage in the practice of the field of her academic study taken at Iowa State.

Criteria

  • Full-time foreign woman student at Iowa State University (Fall 2024 ISU Classification)

  • Maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher

  • Intends to return to her own country to teach or work in her academic field of study.

  • Demonstrate qualities of leadership and character that contribute to university life.

Amount of Mrs. Glenn Murphy International Award:  $1000 ($500 per semester).

Recipients receive one half of their scholarship in the fall semester and the other half in the spring semester.  A student may receive this scholarship only once.

The scholarship is only awarded when funds are available.  We are anticipating awarding one (1) Mrs. Glenn Murphy International Award this year.
